Life…

Since moving from the city to the country a few years ago, the major difference between the two environments is and always will be life. In the city, life is centered around trying not to be bored by finding something to do. Being devoid of nature, which perpetuates life, living can be stressful, demanding and downright hectic. Being that there are few trees in the city, the people that live there don’t get to enjoy the liquid oxygen that the forest produces. Instead they inhale a constant  supply of carbon monoxide, freon and smog. In order to keep down the germs, buildings are kept so cold that some people cut on heaters to keep warm in the summer. It has been said that at one time the forest in North America were so vast that a squirrel could travel from Florida to Canada without ever touching the ground. We gave that up to become civilized. There is now talk that as the human species continues to devour the planet without regard to the burden it places on mother nature, that Gaia herself will shrug the human species off of her. One of the ways that this is done is through oxygen depletion. In order for the Earth maintain her position in the universe, she must rid herself of everything that ails her. It’s unfortunate that the human species is to stupid to have respect for the very thing that makes life comfortable for them while they consume themselves to death. Once a people who helped Earth maintain it’s cosmic balance in the universe, it’s inhabitants now are the very one that help destroy it.
